Sand sculpture made by children on Mosney Beach as part of Mosney Village Community Room Summer Camps.

The FAI Summer Soccer School came to Mosney Village this month for a week long soccer summer camp for 6-13 year-olds.  This took place on one of the vast playing fields at Mosney Village.

Mosney Village Leisure Room was set up as the Connected Study Room for the use of school children and adult learners and to support home schooling. For children who required additional support, laptops were distributed by the schools the children attend. A further suite of laptops were generously donated by Meath County Council.

In supporting parents with young children during the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic, a selection of items that were distributed by Mosney Village Community Room including books, activity books, and art materials. Arts and Crafts materials were funded by Mosney Village. Books were donated by Children’s Books Ireland. Toys were donated by the Genesis Project.

Children from Mosney Village prepared a flower bed into which they sowed Wildflower Seeds in September. Much to their delight, the results were a beautiful sea of delicate wildflowers.

Philip Bromwell from RTE News, visited Mosney Village this afternoon to film the astonishing story of 14 year old Alma Harrak, originally from Syria, who now lives with her family in Mosney Village. Alma never played the piano in Syria and only discovered her love for the instrument and her great talent when she came to live in Mosney Village and had access to a piano.
